Directshow filters, with visualization turned on, sucks CPU like mad. Therefore it's prefferably as I mention earlier, to have native support of more files. WMP11 - CPU hog even when idle
Okay, I have a WMP 11 window that has only the File-View-Play-Tools- Help on the top, with the Caption-Fit Screen to Window-Switch To Full Window (none of these three If you play an mp3 it will show a visualization. In several cases, the pre-existing lyrics on my MP3 files were damaged by the WMP11 Beta when it modified them -- so I used Norton GoBack to revert the installation back to WMP10. of WMP11 come out. My view on WMP, and suggestions on improvements
Heavy CPU usage should not realllly be possible from visualizations unless your video card driver is problematic, as the player actually tends to limit the MP3, no visualisations: 40-50% CPU MP3, visualisations: 50-70% CPU depending on choice. This is ridiculous. I do have other things to do with my machine!

Having a problem seeing shared Drives with Device in WMP 11
I have been recently updating my sound card drivers and adding AC3 decoders. After I was finished w/ the other updates WMP11 no longer shows visualization for mp3 and wma files. If I listen to a mono MP3 it plays it only in my center speaker where as it used to play in front left and right speakers.

Visualization Gone WMP11
I wonder if these files are associated to any specific MP3 files? These files started to appear in both 11 and 10 immediately after I downloaded Arctic Monkeys. They're useful for viewing the album art if you use the Album Art visualization and they're used in the little window where the Windows Media Player

WMP11 not showing album art for some files
It's only going to go full-screen if it gets a video surface from either the visualization or the video. This is in line with normal WMP behavior. So if i had to enter a command line in a shortcut then i cannot run in full screen an mp3 file when im clicking on it. why this is not supported on wmp11?
